Helen Stevenson

Founder and CEO of Reformulary Group, she is the former and first Executive Officer of the Ontario Public Drug Programs and Assistant Deputy Minister of Health

Helen Stevenson is the founder and CEO of Reformulary Group, a privately held Toronto-based company that aims to make corporate drug plans more cost-effective and sustainable for both Canadian employers and employees. In her former role as Assistant Deputy Minister of Health and Executive Officer of Ontario Public Drug Programs, Helen oversaw Ontario’s $4 billion drug program. She led the most significant prescription drug reforms in two decades – Bill 102 – which saved Ontarians an unprecedented $1.5 billion over five years, as well as other Ontario drug system initiatives, including the Citizens’ Council, Drugs for Rare Diseases Framework, MedsCheck, and the Ontario Narcotics Strategy. Prior to that, Helen was Founder and President of Savattuq Inc., a healthcare consultancy in Toronto and previously in Zurich, Switzerland.

Helen is a former Trustee of the Auto Sector Retiree Health Care Trust and Chair of the Governance Committee, a former Governor of the Board of North York General Hospital, and former director of the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation. She currently sits on the Boards of the Centre for Effective Practice and Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Ontario Gold and is a committee member of the Board of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

Helen has a Master of Science in Management degree from Boston University Brussels, with an ICD.D designation and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
